The long-awaited tapas and cocktail bar at Laborie Estate will finally open its doors tonight.

Offering guests brekkie bites and light lunches during the day and tapas and cocktails in the evening, the space truly embodies the coffee-to-cocktail ideal.

If you want to grab a coffee and a delightfully delicious pastry for breakfast, then Suzanne will be your go-to place. In the afternoon, toasted sandwiches, salad and quiche will be served.

Once the clock strikes 16h00, Suzanne makes the shift from coffee to cocktail where guests then can enjoy tapas (including tapas pizza!) and a wonderful selection of cocktails. If cocktails aren’t your vibe, then don’t fret.

Suzanne is the place where you can grab a quick bite to eat, a coffee on the go, catch up with friends over cocktails, or enjoy a cheeky aperitif before heading to Stoep for dinner.

The space is named after Suzanne Taillefert, the wife of Laborie Estate’s first owner, making her Laborie’s first First Lady. Born around 1655 into a winemaking family, Suzanne was a French Huguenot who, with her husband Isaac Taillefert and their children, fled France in seek of refuge. They found refuge in the Cape and settled in Paarl. With her winemaking knowledge, Suzanne contributed greatly to the success of Laborie’s wine and the farm’s winemaking heritage.
